Reviews : My 5-year old is a bit of an advanced bike rider for his age. He absolutely loves his DV Viper. It has freewheel and no pedal brakes. I was nervous that he would have a hard time with the hand brake but the brakes are powerful enough with his small hands that he can give it pleny of brake with little effort. The bike is really great quality and looks awesome. I had a DB Viper when I was a kid over 25 years ago. The bike rides really smooth and works just great. It is durable and great construction and rides plenty smooth. Once he gets several years old we may consider getting him a higher-end bike but this one is great and we go on lots of rides around the neighborhood and even on some 5-mile rides occassionally. He does not do any jumps on it yet but boys will be boys. I have ridden several times and it seems plenty strong to hold my weight (about 165 pounds). So he really has plenty of growing room with this one.
